I used to go to Catholic school where we had to have a certain amount of service hours per semester. The main place I would go to do service was a shelter for homeless mothers and their children. I would bring dinner to them and provide child care. I have always loved babysitting and get along well with children so I enjoyed it a lot.
I’ve never had service connected to a course so I’m excited to see how this semester with University 101 goes. It should be interesting to see how we connect what we do outside of the classroom with what we learn in the classroom.
I want to be involved in Habitat for Humanities. I signed up for it at the Student Organization Fair and I’m really excited! I’ve always wanted to be involved with that organization, but never knew how to get connected. I’m glad it was so easy here to find out information about it and immediately get involved.
-Sorry for being late! =[

Habitat is fun way to give back. You can set alerts in your email.sc.edu calendar to help you to remember to complete your assignments. Thats what I do, and it is really helpful.
ReplyDeleteahh Brent! How do I do that?! That would be amazing.
